So how should you be feeling about it at home? Joining me live is Assistant Minister to the Prime Minister, Patrick Gorman. Thanks very much for your time. Quite a few months in, they're going to plummet, essentially, and be way behind inflation for a while.

But I can confirm something for you today ahead of the official release tomorrow. Now, the Finance Minister, Katy Gallagher, has been trawling through a list of government grants made under Scott Morrison and has reportedly identified up to $2 billion in projects promised, in her words, as an attempt to win votes by politicising grants funds.

The October Budget will deliver on the Albanese Labor Government pledge to jointly fund a world-class Aboriginal Cultural Centre for Western Australia.

The Commonwealth is partnering with and matching the McGowan Labor Government’s commitment to this important project with each Government contributing $50 million after jointly funding the feasibility study.

Ballumb Ambul Gadigal yindamarra. Ngadu – yirra bang marang.

I have just said in Wiradjuri, the language of my people – that I pay my respects to the Gadigal people, of the Eora Nation – and honour their custodianship and care for country.

The Territories Stolen Generations Redress Scheme has received more than 500 applications and provided 247 payments to survivors since it opened on 1 March 2022.

The $378 million Scheme seeks to recognise the harm and trauma experienced by Stolen Generations survivors removed as children from their families or communities in the Northern Territory, the Australian Capital Territory, or the Jervis Bay Territory.
