The Albanese Labor Government is delivering support to tourism businesses in the Red Centre, through the launch of the $1 million Alice Springs Revival and Resilience grant program.

This grant, part of a $8.5 million total package of support, is designed to revitalise the region’s economy which has faced challenges over recent years, including a downturn in visitation.

Two additional grant programs will be launched shortly to assist with the development of new experiences, as well as promotion of the Red Centre to attract more domestic and international visitors.

The Revival and Resilience grant program, which opens for applications today, will invest $1 million into the Alice Springs and MacDonnell tourism region to support small tourism operators facing financial hardship.

The grants will help tourism businesses with operational costs, enabling them to continue operating while reaping the benefits of broader Government initiatives to attract visitors back to the Red Centre.

Tourism businesses with fewer than 19 employees and an annual turnover of less than $5 million may be eligible for an Alice Springs Revival and Resilience grant.

Grant guidelines, including eligibility criteria, can be found here.
